All-on-X Dental Implants

Description

All-on-X dental implants are likely a fantastic option for you if you’re looking to restore your smile with an implant denture, even after significant bone loss. Dr. Fadi Hasan places All-on-X implants at precise angles to make maximum contact with the jawbone. This means many of our McLean, VA, patients can skip preparatory bone grafting.

[00:00:00.20] - Dr Fadi Hasan What is All-on-X? The idea about All-on-X is that we are able to provide our patients with a fixed, long-term processes that they don't have to take it in and out like a denture. The beautiful thing about it is that patients do get incredible amount of functionality as well as aesthetics by the end of their treatment. [00:00:23.19] - Dr Fadi Hasan The treatment time can anywhere from start to finish until the patients are able to have a full mouth where they can function at 100%. Usually within 3–4 months, which is an incredible time compared to what they had previously in the past. Our patients that present, who are indications for an All-on-X could have a history of very advanced periodontal disease where there's so much bone loss going on. [00:00:48.07] - Dr Fadi Hasan Or there's too much broken down dentition wear potentially that is unfortunately cannot be saved and cannot be rehabilitated again. The only route moving forward for them to get them back into function and getting that confidence, smile back again one more time is going to that All-on-X approach. [00:01:06.16] - Dr Fadi Hasan Not every patient, of course, is a candidate for it. It depends on how much bone they present with as well, the health of their overall gum tissue, even sometimes even their systemic health might not be at that ideal level. [00:01:19.01] - Dr Fadi Hasan We look at as a patient as a whole. It's not just the mouth, but as a whole. The beautiful thing about it is that they can actually leave with new teeth in their mouth within 24 hours. That's the beautiful advantage about it. [00:01:33.11] - Dr Fadi Hasan Again, we are assuming that patients do have adequate amount of bone that we can utilize for them and where implants are going in, in the right place. So that way they can hopefully maintain these implants for the rest of their lives if possible.
